System Requirements:

Before downloading ABAP Development Tools, ensure your system meets the following requirements:

• Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit), macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later.
• Java Runtime Environment (JRE): Java 17 or 21 (Oracle Java or OpenJDK).
• Eclipse IDE: Latest version of Eclipse IDE for Java Developers.
• SAP GUI for Windows (Optional): Required for specific functionalities on Windows machines.

STEP - 1 : Download Eclipse from the Link and select Download.  

STEP - 2 : Select Download.

• Open the downloaded File -> Right Click -> Run as Administrator.

• Select “Eclipse IDE for java developers”.

• Select “Install”.

• Click on “Accept Now”.

• Launch your workspace.

STEP - 3 : Add the ADT Plugin in Eclipse IDE.

• Select "Help>Install New Software".

• Enter the latest ADTURL from the link https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/latest in the Work with section,press enter, select ABAP Development Tools andclick Next >.

• Click "Next >".

• Accept the License agreement and click "Finish".

• Click Select All and Trust Selected.

• Click Restart Now.

STEP - 4 : Add ABAP Prespective.

• Open Eclipse IDE and Select Window>Perspective>Other Perspective>Other.

• Select ABAP and click Open.

• Select ABAP and click Open.

• Now it will ask all the Linked SAP Servers list from the SAP GUI Logon.

• Click “Next>” and Select the needed SAP Server and login with your credentials. Click “ Next>”.
